Welcome To WatchThoughts – A UK Based Watch Reviews Blog

Watch Thoughts is a site for watch reviews and thoughts based in the UK, edited by me, Tony Villa, ex- of Deaumar watches.

Some of you may already know me in my frequenting of many Facebook watch groups. Maybe you know me through my watch company, Deaumar? Maybe I’m just another anonymous Internet “blogger” jumping on another bandwagon that you’ve stumbled across. Maybe I’m all three.

So what’s this post and why have I started this site? Well, let me set out my Modus Operandi.

There are many blogs and many site offering many views and reviews. So why start another?

Well, first of all I have to make it clear that I started a watch company because I’m a watch addict. I didn’t become a watch addict because I started a watch company.

From the first time I strapped a James Bond 007 digital watch (which played the theme tune) on my wrist in the early 80s, I knew that I had found something that I loved. 30 years later, I’ve amassed quite a number of watches.

I’ve had some reviews published elswhere and figured I’d quite like a site of my own to share my musings as I really enjoy writing about them. They may be divisive. They may be plain wrong, but they will be my honest thoughts and hopefully 30 years of buying an loving watches may help me provide some sage advice.

The watches will be in one of 3 categories.

WATCHES THAT I ALREADY OWN

WATCHES THAT I BOUGHT, WITH MY OWN MONEY, TO REVIEW

WATCHES LOANED TO ME, THAT ARE THEN SENT BACK AFTER THE REVIEW IS DONE

I promise objective reviews, with maybe a little passion thrown in if I really like the watch. No paymasters, no sponsors, no freebies, no Bull. I will also get other watch company owners reviewing watches too, not their own of course, but adding their thoughts on watches past, present and future. The best sports commentators used to actually play the sport…

So there you have it. That’s what this site’s about. I want to share wonderful watches that have given me so much joy, new watches that are worth your money and possible warnings.

And that’s a promise.
